Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team and ensure a safe, well‑maintained store environment for customers and employees in Portland, OR. You will support the Facility Manager, execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and mentor other technicians across Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations.

The role requires hands‑on facilities experience (5–7 years) with emphasis in mechanical maintenance, and familiarity with HVAC, building

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years predictive and preventative maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; respond to alarms.
• Document maintenance activities with proper CMMS entries and reporting.
• Mentor other technicians and support FM with training.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and property managers.
• Maintain safe working environment following safety procedures and LOTO/PPE rules.
• Assist with parts ordering, meetings, and vendor relations.
