Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect (RA) or PE preferred.
• 8+ years in building envelope consulting, façade engineering, restoration or forensic investigations.
• Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems (masonry, stone, curtain walls, windows, roofing, waterproofing).
• Experience preparing repair documents and construction administration services.
• Familiarity with building codes.
• Excellent written communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Experience managing client relationships and project teams.
• Experience with façade forensic investigations and failure analysis preferred.
• Experience with water infiltration and leak investigations preferred.
• Expert witness or litigation support experience preferred.
• Experience with construction defect investigations and remediation design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead façade and building envelope investigations for commercial, institutional, residential, and historic structures.
• Perform field assessments of building envelope systems.
• Diagnose water infiltration and façade distress.
• Develop repair and rehabilitation strategies based on findings.
• Prepare technical reports, repair documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage façade inspection programs and restoration projects.
• Coordinate material testing and forensic evaluations.
• Support expert witness services and litigation-related assignments.
• Mentor and supervise engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Participate in proposal development and client presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
