Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti in Los Angeles seeks a Facades Vice President with extensive building envelope design and investigation experience to join our expanding team. You will oversee design consulting for new construction and support investigations of existing envelopes.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering or architectural engineering, 15+ years of relevant experience, and strong analytical and communication skills to manage projects, lead teams, and liaise with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience including progressive project management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of façade practices, building envelope, roofing and water proofing.

Responsibilities

• Establishes broad project strategies, resourcing, and project performance goals.
• Identifies and pursues new clients and project work.
• Serves as primary contact with client.
• Manages projects and team to achieve financial goals.
• Ensures QA activities including design reviews, documentation checks, and design checks.
• Contributes to TT leadership through clear communications among team leaders.
• Monitors staffing and resourcing needs and reports to practice leader.
• Supports development of company standards relating to façade consulting and commissioning.
• Promotes TT services and reputation in local and national markets.
