Thornton Tomasetti in New York is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer in Forensics to lead evaluations of building envelopes and architectural systems, diagnosing failure mechanisms and guiding remediation strategies with investigative insight.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with engineers and project partners, and continue developing your technical and client-facing capabilities within the forensic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
• 2+ years of architecture or forensic investigations experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of forensic evaluations of building envelopes or architectural systems.
• Develop and review technical reports for clarity and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support for interns and junior architects.
• Expand project exposure by observing client interactions and understanding scopes, services, and fee structures.
