Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Lead Experience Designer for Kyndryl Vital in the United States. You will own design workstreams end-to-end, collaborating with clients to understand users and business needs.

You will guide AI-enabled interfaces, map journeys, create dashboards, design systems, and lead client workshops, ensuring accessible and transparent experiences. This role requires a strong portfolio in enterprise design, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to human-centered

Qualifications

• 6–7 years of experience in experience design or a related field.
• Human-centered design: deep grounding in human-centered design methods and mindset.
• Journey and service design: ability to create journey maps and service blueprints for multi-actor systems — including systems where some actors are AI agents.
• Designing for AI: hands-on experience designing AI-driven or agentic product experiences: human/AI interaction flows, human-in-the-loop patterns, and interfaces for non-deterministic behavior.
• User research: ability to design and conduct generative and evaluative research and translate it into delivery with developers and product managers.
• Prototyping: fluency in Figma or similar tools; ability to create context-appropriate prototypes from low to high fidelity, including working prototypes of AI-assisted interactions.
• Facilitation and storytelling: comfort facilitating co-creation sessions and presenting to clients; excellent communication skills in English.
• Visual communication: strong information design and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design workstreams from discovery to delivery on client engagements, producing journey maps, service blueprints, flows, and prototypes.
• Design for human/AI collaboration: define agentic workflows and hand-off moments with non-deterministic system behavior, with transparency and user control as defaults.
• Conduct and apply research: plan and run generative and evaluative research and translate findings into design decisions.
• Facilitate co-creation: lead workshops and collaborative sessions that align client stakeholders, balancing desirability with feasibility with engineers and data scientists.
• Deliver traditional experience work: design dashboards, enterprise web applications, and information visualizations, and produce clear client presentations.
• Communicate and advocate: present design decisions with storytelling and rationale; lead reviews across the lifecycle from discovery to delivery.
• Champion responsible design: advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and ethical use of AI, ensuring transparent experiences.
• Use AI in your own practice: apply AI-powered design and research tools to accelerate iteration while maintaining quality.
