Job summary

Legends Global in Peoria is seeking a Director of Event Services to lead the Event Services team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and safe, successful events. You will supervise Event Managers and staff, coordinate with operations, security, and venue partners, and drive service standards, training, and performance metrics.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and hands-on oversight of event logistics, staffing, and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; relevant supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years in public assembly, convention center, arena, or similar event industry in a supervisory or management role.
• Certifications such as CVP, CVE, CMP preferred but not required.
• Experience with contract negotiations, budget development and management, labor relations, and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Event Manager and coordinators and plan daily work assignments.
• Direct event operations including staffing, security, crowd and risk management, and ADA compliance.
• Lead departmental budgeting, labor forecasting, and capital planning.
• Develop operating procedures aligned with client, facility and corporate goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for seamless event execution.
• Liaison with unions, contractors, and emergency personnel as needed.
