Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience in Estimating (Heavy/Civil) preferred.
• Strong business and financial knowledge and the ability to build relationships in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Attend Pre-Bid Meetings and pre-bid jobsite visits.
• Time management to complete several bids within deadlines.
• Assess past costs to understand labor production and equipment needs.
• Thoroughly understand plans and specifications.
• Learn estimating software including Bluebeam and On-screen to assist with quantity take-offs.
• Enter Labor, Material, Equipment, Subcontractors, and overhead for each project.
• Communicate with Subcontractors and Suppliers to confirm best price and scope.
• Understand means and methods of Road/Bridge Construction, Water/Wastewater projects, and related work.
