Job summary

Crossland Heavy Contractors in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead estimating efforts for heavy civil projects. You will supervise a team of estimators and prepare complete material, labor, and equipment takeoffs from drawings and specs.

The role requires identifying risks, communicating with owners and engineers, and delivering accurate bids under tight deadlines. Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Agtek is preferred, along with a Civil Engineering or

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience in Estimating (Heavy/Civil) preferred.
Strong business and financial knowledge and the ability to build relationships in the industry.

Responsibilities

Attend Pre-Bid Meetings and pre-bid jobsite visits.
Time management to complete several bids within deadlines.
Assess past costs to understand labor production and equipment needs.
Thoroughly understand plans and specifications.
Learn estimating software including Bluebeam and On-screen to assist with quantity take-offs.
Enter Labor, Material, Equipment, Subcontractors, and overhead for each project.
Communicate with Subcontractors and Suppliers to confirm best price and scope.
Understand means and methods of Road/Bridge Construction, Water/Wastewater projects, and related work.
