Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking a Lead Emergency Veterinarian to champion clinical excellence and mentor the team. You will support the medical director, drive VEG’s processes, and guide doctors to grow within the hospital while ensuring superb patient and client care.

This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and a strong commitment to the VEG Way, with opportunities for growth, learning, and a lasting impact on the hospital and community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ER experience and critical case management.
• One year leadership experience is preferred, but not required.
• Training in emergency surgery/endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Work clinical shifts as an emergency doctor.
• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients quickly and manage VEG Spikes onboarding to care.
• Provide diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and options to clients.
• Coach other doctors on VEG Way and clinical excellence.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings and rounds.
