VEG is seeking a Lead Emergency Veterinarian to champion clinical excellence and mentor doctors while upholding VEG's customer-centered care. You will work alongside the hospital's medical director to grow clinicians, improve outcomes, and model VEG's standards in every case.

You will help shape a culture of mentorship and learning, lead by example, and support the team through growth plans, scheduling, and performance reviews in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Competenze

• A DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree.
• 2+ years of ER experience and critical case management.
• One year leadership experience is preferred, but not required.
• Training in emergency surgery/endoscopy.
• Flexible to work a combination of clinical and administrative shifts.

Mansioni

• Work clinical shifts with responsibilities of emergency doctors.
• Answer medical questions over the phone and see patients promptly.
• Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans for pets.
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment options to customers.
• Provide treatments addressing each pet's condition.
• Create and review medical records for accuracy.
• Coach doctors on medical excellence and VEG's patient-centered approach.
• Lead and schedule monthly doctor meetings with MD guidance.
• Own the NERD training program if needed in teaching hospitals.
