Job summary

RTX—Pratt & Whitney operates within a cutting‑edge aerospace manufacturing environment. The Equipment Services Manager provides technical leadership, field engineering support, and vendor management to keep manufacturing equipment safe, reliable, and cost‑effective.

You will coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, EH&S, and Procurement to drive complex equipment issues to resolution, overseeing repairs, upgrades, and condition‑based maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of equipment engineering, field service, or maintenance experience OR Master's with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems and interpreting drawings/schematics.
• Experience working with equipment OEMs, vendors, and service providers.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with CNC, automation, robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, or pneumatics is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and field engineering support for manufacturing equipment; diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and automation issues.
• Serve as the liaison between Equipment Maintenance and OEMs; coordinate vendor field service activities and commissioning.
• Develop and review scopes of work and service proposals; manage vendor activities from problem identification to final acceptance.
• Support maintenance technicians and engineers with complex equipment problems; assist root‑cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime; support preventive maintenance strategies.
• Review vendor performance, costs, warranties, contracts, and invoices; maintain service history and lessons learned.
• Ensure vendor work meets safety, quality, and aerospace requirements; aid lifecycle planning and repair vs replacement decisions.
• Coordinate technical activities across maintenance, manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, EH&S, and procurement.
