Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with strong background in heavy industrial power and power plants. You will lead project definitions, schedules, budgets, and client communications to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, managing costs, preparing bids and changes, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with project management standards. 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software, and finance concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities for interactions with team members and clients.
• Ability to interact with different staff levels as well as vendors/subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Understand building materials and construction methods; knowledge of production of construction documents.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Prepare detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and secure approvals.
• Manage project costs and profitability.
• Prepare and review client billings and vendor invoices for timely payment.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage project changes using change management protocols.
• Communicate deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the team.
• Prepare overall project schedule and in-house budgets by responsibility.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate submittals with agencies.
• Review and coordinate technical work and deliverables.
• Monitor progress toward deliverables and schedules.
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers.
