Job summary

Enel North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead environmental permitting, due diligence, and feasibility studies for renewable projects across the U.S. and Canada.

The role requires delivering technical specifications, coordinating with internal teams, and managing external contractors. You will contribute to environmental monitoring, risk assessments, and compliance planning, while collaborating with BD and Project Engineers to meet authorization targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering (or related field) required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in environmental engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting standards and IFC/US norms.
• Fluent English required; Italian or Spanish preferred.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Address environmental topics across all project development stages to ensure compliance with best practices and technical specifications.
• Define and update technical specifications for environmental authorization documents.
• Provide technical support to BD, E&C, and other units to ensure project compliance with environmental constraints.
• Manage external contractors for environmental activities (assessment, monitoring) across permitting/construction/operation phases.
• Lead environmental due diligences, feasibility studies, and monitoring plans for renewable power plants.
• Assist in planning and coordinating environmental activities within the organization.
