Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Sr Manager, Environmental to lead permitting and compliance for a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across multiple states, including Texas. You will oversee staff, develop permitting strategies, coordinate NEPA reviews, and manage consultants to ensure timely, compliant project development and operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related area of study.
• 7+ years’ experience with environmental programs including permitting and compliance in the energy industry, renewables preferred.
• Experience with consulting, construction, and operations including field work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and compliance obligations for federal and state programs.
• Collaborate with Project Development, Engineering, Legal, Construction, Operations and external stakeholders to ensure environmental permit applicability and compliance.
• Oversee environmental personnel supporting a portfolio of renewable energy projects across multiple states.
• Lead environmental permitting strategies, schedules, and risk mitigation to support development timelines.
• Coordinate NEPA reviews, state environmental reviews, and agency coordination.
• Manage consultants conducting environmental assessments, surveys, and permit applications; ensure quality and consistency across projects.
• Identify and lead process improvements, such as digitalizing environmental data and EMS updates.
