Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Lead Engineer to support Airside Data Center products. You will guide a cross-functional team through bid support, design execution, and manufacturing release while enhancing quality and manufacturability.

This role involves mentoring engineers, ensuring design integrity, and delivering timely technical solutions. You will collaborate with operations, quality, and product management to drive cost and margin improvements, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; 7–10 years of product design experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience leading PDP or equivalent phase-gate process.
• Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15% annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and designers.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance and decision-making support.
• Review design outputs for quality and compliance with standards.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and specifications.
