Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Lead Designer for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod. You will act as a key design resource, developing models, drawings, documentation, and BOMs to support bid activities, submittals, order release, and manufacturing.

You will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure design quality, documentation accuracy, and standardization while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in design, drafting or product documentation support.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar CAD tools.
• Working knowledge of design and drafting standards, methods, and documentation practices.
• Experience with HVAC equipment, sheet metal design, piping packages, or related engineered products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design support for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod.
• Create and maintain equipment drawings, CAD models, design documentation, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with engineers to generate drawings and documentation for bids, submittals, orders, and production.
• Support product configurations, layouts, and documentation packages.
• Apply standards and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Identify and resolve design issues with attention to detail.
• Incorporate DFM updates to drawings and models for quality and assembly efficiency.
• Support witness test readiness by updating drawings.
• Coordinate engineering changes and documentation updates.
• Contribute to design standardization and continuous improvement.
