Placements24 is seeking a Lead Energy Storage Systems Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems for utility-scale and commercial applications. You will ensure technical integrity, performance, and seamless integration with renewable generation and the grid.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years in ESS design/implementation, with hands-on expertise in lithium-based chemistries, EMS, and grid interconnection

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field with specialization in power systems/energy storage.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in design/engineering/implementation of energy storage systems, particularly battery-based technologies.
• Deep understanding of battery chemistries (e.g., Lithium-ion), EMS, and power electronics.
• Proficiency in power system analysis and simulation tools.
• Experience with grid interconnection standards for energy storage.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including components, architecture, and control strategies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for ESS projects.
• Develop detailed system designs, schematics, and performance models.
• Ensure ESS designs meet industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage procurement and installation of ESS components.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful execution.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, and performance optimization.
• Stay updated on emerging storage technologies and market trends.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
