Job summary

Dakota Central Human Service Zone in Washburn, North Dakota is seeking a Lead Eligibility Worker for the Economic Assistance Team. You will train new members, provide programmatic technical assistance, maintain case work, and support zone leadership.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP and CCAP policies, plus outstanding communication and teamwork skills to mentor a growing team in a dynamic public service environment.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience directly related to determining eligibility for human services economic assistance programs.
• Completion of the eligibility worker one year certificate program.
• Completion of 90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours of a bachelor's degree program.
• Three years of any combination of education and experience listed above.
• Must maintain valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Some travel throughout Dakota Central Human Service Zone and occasionally in state travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to new team members and programmatic technical assistance.
• Maintain case work for the Economic Assistance Team.
• Assist zone leadership as needed.
• Model leadership to mentor and motivate team members.
• Possess strong knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP and CCAP policies.
