Benton County Human Services in Minnesota is seeking a Lead Eligibility Specialist to supervise the Intake Service Specialist team and oversee financial assistance caseloads. This leadership role involves mentoring staff, training new and existing employees, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to the community.

The position offers full-time hours within the Financial Assistant Unit, with wage steps from $27.05 per hour (Step 1) and potential progression to $37.10 per hour (Step 11).

Qualifications

• Lead Eligibility Specialists and Senior Eligibility Specialists training and guidance responsibilities.
• Ability to assign and review work and provide direction to staff across the Financial Assistance unit.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate with diverse clients.
• Experience with clerical and accounting functions and using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Provide training and guidance to Eligibility Specialists and Senior Eligibility Specialists for all financial assistance programs.
• Assign and review the work of Eligibility Specialists and provide work direction to the assigned program area.
• Assign work schedules and tasks for the team.
• Maintain and oversee rotation of duties assigned to the phone bank.
• Develop statistical reports regarding caseload administration.
• Assist supervisor in employee performance evaluations.
• Prepare county cases for appeal hearings and participate in appeals as needed.
