Job summary

The position requires leadership experience, strong knowledge of SNAP and Health Care programs, and the ability to interpret statutes, develop procedures, and produce caseload reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and three years in Human Services financial assistance programs or related area.
• Two years in a leadership capacity; able to supervise staff and manage caseloads.
• Valid driver’s license, background check, and DHS training certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and guidance to Eligibility Specialists and Senior Eligibility Specialists for all financial assistance programs.
• Assign and review the work of Eligibility Specialists and provide work direction to the assigned program area.
• Develop statistical reports regarding caseload administration.
• Assist supervisor in employee performance evaluations and in appeal preparation.
• Maintain and oversee rotation of duties assigned to the phone bank.
• Coordinate coverage of caseloads during staff absences.
