Job summary

Badger Meter in Racine, WI is seeking a Lead Assembler to lead a team across multiple product families, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will coordinate workloads, train staff and work with management to optimize assembly processes.

Requires a High School Degree or GED and 5+ years in assembly/leadership; Lean 101 training is preferred. This is a manufacturing role in a dynamic production environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED required; 5+ years of experience in assembly/leadership.
• Lean 101 training preferred.
• Ability to read prints and measure parts with mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day operation by leading and directing a group to meet production schedule.
• Reads and follows specifications to build and assemble products and verify conformance to work orders.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
• Acts as liaison for general assembly and quality control questions.
• Trains new employees on proper use of equipment and tools.
• Communicate with Managers, Planning and Customer Service.
• Provide input to improve assembly processes focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost.
