Job summary

Badger Meter, a global leader in water technology, is hiring a Lead Assembler in Racine, WI. You will lead a team of assemblers across multiple product families, directing daily workloads and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on mechanical skills, and readiness to train new staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in assembly/leadership, experience with electronic assembly, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in assembly/leadership desired.
• Lean 101 training preferred.
• Experience with electronic assembly required.
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read prints and measure parts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the day-to-day operation by leading and directing a group of employees to assure a smooth workflow; organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet production schedule.
• Reads and follows specifications to build and assemble products and checks for defects and conformance to work orders.
• Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices.
