Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Lead Assembler to guide a team across multiple product families in a manufacturing setting. You will coordinate daily workloads, read specifications, and ensure products meet quality and delivery standards.

You will train new hires, communicate with management and sales, and contribute to safety, quality and cost improvements while maintaining high workmanship and reliability.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Experience reading specifications and following work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of assemblers across multiple product families.
• Coordinate daily workloads to meet production schedules.
• Read specifications and ensure conformance to work orders.
• Provide technical understanding of production and assembly practices.
• Act as liaison for team questions on assembly and quality control.
• Train new employees on equipment use and processes.
• Suggest process improvements for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
