Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. in Racine, WI, is seeking an experienced Assembler III to join our advanced manufacturing team. The role focuses on complex assembly, testing, calibration, and diagnosing issues while acting as a technical mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement efforts, supporting onboarding, and coordinating with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and delivery. A strong hands-on background in assembly is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
• Qualified in multiple product lines or processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Perform advanced assembly, soldering, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair functions.
• Serve as a certified trainer and mentor for Assembler I and II employees.
• Support onboarding, qualification, and cross-training activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert and technical resource.
• Drive 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors consistent with future Lead, Technician, Coordinator, or Supervisor roles.
