Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Ashland, KY seeks a Foreman Electrician to supervise a crew, perform installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, and mentor Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on site.

You will read drawings, lay out work, develop material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals while ensuring NEC compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Shows an understanding of project schedules and coordination with supervision.
• Reads and understands project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Able to learn software tools such as BlueBeam, Navisworks for project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Communicate lists to supervision and ensure budget goals are understood.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, and install conduit and electrical devices on site.
• Read project drawings and perform field layout.
