IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Lead Electrician in Richmond, VA. The role emphasizes leading crews, interpreting electrical drawings, and coordinating daily field activities.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of commercial electrical field experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to direct others while maintaining safety standards. Travel may be required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 4 years of recent commercial electrical field experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience providing work direction or guidance to electricians, apprentices, or helpers.
• Ability to organize work, identify field issues, and communicate changes or concerns in a timely manner.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
• Pre-employment background and MVR checks if operating vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and provides day-to-day work direction to electricians, apprentices, and helpers assigned to the crew.
• Reads and interprets construction electrical drawings, terminates cables, installs and troubleshoots control wiring from drawings.
• Plans and coordinates daily work activities based on project priorities and field supervision directions.
• Monitors work in progress and reports variances in a timely manner.
• Travels as required and adheres to safety policies.
