IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Richmond, VA seeks a Lead Electrician to oversee commercial electrical projects and provide day-to-day leadership to crews. The role requires interpreting drawings, terminating cables, and coordinating daily work with field supervision.

The candidate will plan activities, monitor progress, ensure safety policy compliance, and may travel as needed. This is a full-time on-site position with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 years of recent commercial electrical field experience.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to organize work, identify field issues, and communicate changes promptly.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical tasks with general supervision.
• Leads and directs electricians, apprentices, and helpers on site.
• Reads construction drawings and terminates cables, wires, and control wiring.
• Plans daily activities based on project priorities and supervision guidance.
• Monitors progress, reports variances, and completes assigned duties.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and travel may be required.
