Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to lead a field crew on industrial electrical projects in the South Bend, IN area. You’ll test, troubleshoot, and commission power distribution equipment on site, ensuring safety and quality while coordinating with clients and trades.

The role requires hands-on leadership—on tools when needed—and periodic travel within the region. We value experienced journeyman electricians with a strong grasp of electrical systems, schematics, and field

Qualifications

• On-site industrial electrical project experience required.
• Journeyman license or equivalent experience mandatory.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of 3–15 on-site, field-based electrical projects.
• Collaborate with crew to test, troubleshoot, and commission 480V power distribution equipment.
• Test and configure electrical systems for plant production.
• Repair 480V/120V panels, wiring, PLCs, and relays.
• Read schematics and technical drawings; identify issues and repair equipment.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in the safety program.
• Build relationships with on-site client representatives and trades.
• Other duties as assigned.
