Job summary

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, a BS or MS in EE, and PE registration is highly preferred or may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred or may be required.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex electrical and instrumentation engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced drafting and engineering personnel in the department.
• Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications and electrical installation specifications.
• Develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs for projects.
• Produce installation details, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams; ensure conformance to codes and specs.
• Check calculations and review vendor drawings for electrical/instrumentation input.
• Lead small to mid-sized projects and coordinate with discipline leads and staff.
• Perform fieldwork to gather data, verify tie-ins, and support construction.
