Job summary

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments
• Experience leading a small crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians
• Ability to read and interpret project specs, blueprints, and schematics
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and scheduling skills
• Willingness to work weekends/overtime when needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Ensure quality of work meets high standards
• Develop manpower schedules for the team
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands, and communicate to supervision
• Meet production and budget goals by coordinating tasks with the crew
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and fittings
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels and feeders
• Read project drawings and construct layouts for areas including underground work
• Assist in estimating wire, conduit and junction box sizing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits
