Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to guide a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. The Foreman will oversee installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, ensuring work meets NEC and local codes while mentoring the team.

You will read blueprints, prepare material lists, develop schedules, and drive quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of ~5 Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work and ability to recognize out-of-scope work.
• Strong communication with other trades and ability to negotiate with trade supervisors.
• Reads blueprints and relevant contract documents; understands project plans.
• Basic understanding of customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with construction schedules; willingness to learn BlueBeam and Navisworks.
• Active participation in leadership training and ongoing skill development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing a manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
