The role requires independent ownership of bids from review through final pricing and turnover to operations. The ideal candidate has substantial electrical construction estimating experience with contractors in utility or EPC settings and can manage large, complex pursuits with strong attention to procurement, scheduling,

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical estimating experience with contractors or EPC firms.
• Experience estimating substations, transmission and distribution projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of transformers, breakers, switches, grounding, cable, terminations, and control wiring is required.
• Ability to identify scope gaps, risks, and procurement needs during bids.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex electrical construction estimates from bid through turnover.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical estimates from bid review to final pricing and turnover.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and bid documents to define scope and takeoffs.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor pricing.
• Identify risks related to labor, outages, procurement, and constructability.
• Develop value engineering opportunities and support bid strategy and pricing.
• Mentor or review work of junior estimators and ensure accurate turnover to operations.
