Job summary

Goliath Construction Consulting, Inc. in South Plainfield, NJ seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead bids for utility, substation, and transmission projects from review to turnover. You will independently manage complex estimates and coordinate with operations.

The ideal candidate has extensive electrical construction estimating experience with utility, EPC, or T&D contractors, and strong takeoff skills for accurate pricing of labor, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating substations, transmission and distribution projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, contracts and bid documents to define scope and takeoffs.
• Strong labor, material, equipment pricing and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical estimates from bid review to final pricing, submission, and turnover.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to develop complete project scopes and detailed takeoffs.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor pricing based on constructability and project requirements.
• Identify scope gaps and risks related to labor, scheduling, outages, procurement, logistics, constructability, and incomplete design.
• Develop value engineering opportunities and contribute to bid strategy, competitive positioning, and final pricing decisions.
• Lead estimate turnover to operations and mentor or review the work of less experienced estimators.
