Job summary

Knutson Construction Services is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare and lead accurate electrical estimates for commercial construction projects, partnering with project teams, owners, design professionals, and trade partners to develop competitive and profitable solutions.

You will develop quantity takeoffs, analyze drawings and specifications, and support preconstruction efforts to secure new work and drive successful project transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction is preferred.
• Ability to analyze drawings, specs, BIM models for scope and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare accurate electrical estimates for commercial projects from concept through construction documents.
• Develop quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and related cost models.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotations to ensure complete coverage and competitive pricing.
• Develop and present value engineering options to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
