Job summary

Kansas Electric, Inc. seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team, focusing on medium-to-large electrical construction projects. You will develop competitive, accurate cost estimates and collaborate with project management, engineering, and executives during preconstruction.

You will lead bid reviews, perform site visits, and help refine cost databases while maintaining strong vendor relationships and contributing to value engineering as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for coordination with vendors and teams.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Experience in industrial/commercial construction (field and/or office).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
