Job summary

Kline Electric Inc. is seeking a qualified Electrical Estimator (Commercial) to assess project timelines, research material and equipment costs, and communicate with clients to define scopes.

The role also focuses on improving cost-estimating procedures to minimize discrepancies between estimated and actual costs. You will review plans, analyze blueprints, determine quantities and costs, attend pre-bid meetings, and prepare competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Commercial Electrical estimating experience required.
• Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to determine scope requirements.
• Analyze blueprints to determine wire lengths and outlet placements per electrical codes.
• Identify quantities, types, and costs of materials, fixtures, and labor needed.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and oversee pre-con meetings with project managers and field foremen.
• Prepare competitive project bids and assist with change orders as needed.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
