Design Hire in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our pre-construction and estimating team. You will produce accurate, competitive bids for commercial electrical projects, review drawings and specs, and help drive profitable outcomes through precise pricing.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of estimator experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with MS Office; Trimble Accubid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with commercial electrical systems, materials and installation methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Trimble Accubid preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Solicit, analyze, and qualify subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Price specialty and standard electrical equipment.
• Develop and validate assumptions, clarifications, and risk assessments.
• Support value engineering, budgeting, and preconstruction pricing.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project handoff.
