You will prepare and lead accurate estimates for HVAC, piping, controls, and other mechanical systems for commercial projects, partnering with owners, designers, and trade partners to deliver competitive solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in estimating software and BIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Experience estimating HVAC, plumbing, piping, and building mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with estimating software, BIM platforms, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare accurate mechanical estimates for commercial projects from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Build and maintain accurate mechanical scope unit costs and cost models.
• Analyze drawings, specs, BIM models to determine scope, risk and pricing strategies.
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and controls.
• Prepare detailed cost analyses including labor, equipment, materials and general conditions.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and recommend pricing approaches.
