Job summary
Stantec in Boise, Idaho seeks a licensed Electrical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of water and wastewater projects. You will serve as Engineer-of-Record, size and specify electrical systems, and develop construction packages.
You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver designs on time and within budget. You will apply advanced electrical engineering concepts, use ETAP/SKM/EasyPower, AutoCAD and Bentley tools, and contribute to
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 7–8 years of experience in electrical engineering for water/wastewater projects.
Responsibilities
- Acts as Engineer-of-Record for projects and components with varying complexity.
- Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers electrical systems for a project.
- Develops designs through sketches, models, diagrams and visuals.
- Utilizes 3D models for electrical systems.
- Mentors junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
- Prepares and revises design/ construction documentation.
- Leads project coordination meetings with teams and stakeholders.
- Develops project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
- Prepares project specifications and construction documents.
- Performs constructability reviews and QA/QC on projects.
- Oversees field reviews and construction phase services.
