Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a nuclear power group. You will design, analyze, and modify electrical systems for existing and new plants, working with a team of engineers and designers on challenging projects.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations, reviewing drawings, and ensuring project milestones are met. A BS in Electrical Engineering is required, with 3+ years of relevant experience in power systems design, and the role is hybrid with three in-office

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
• 3+ years in electrical engineering design within a project team, focused on integrated system design or modifications.
• Experience with medium/low voltage distribution, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
• Experience reviewing design drawings and providing engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead/PM in completing projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations (3φ AC/DC power studies, short circuit, voltage drop).
• Prepare design input documentation and drawing production.
• Review engineering reports and studies to meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Perform independent reviews of others’ work, including calculations and drawings.
