Job summary
Valar Atomics is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to build and lead our electrical engineering team, owning delivery across reactor, fuel manufacturing, and power distribution. You will guide senior engineers, define roles, and drive technically rigorous design across LV, MV, and HV systems, including interconnection and protection.
You will manage technical risk, coordinate with IC&E leadership, and ensure documentation, safety, and quality align with nuclear standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power generation, utility, process, or industrial projects.
- Experience leading an electrical engineering team and direct hiring.
- End-to-end ownership of electrical scope on major projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, IEEE standards, and NQA-1 quality considerations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and hire the electrical engineering team across LV, MV, and HV systems.
- Own electrical architecture, generator integration, interconnection, and protection.
- Coordinate scope across reactor, fuel manufacturing, power generation, and site infrastructure.
- Drive design reviews, risk assessment, licensing support, and vendor engagement.
