Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for building projects in a collaborative environment. You will prepare electrical plans and specifications, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines in a dynamic design team.

You will work with SKM/ETAP modeling, BIM, and REVIT to ensure compliant electrical systems, life safety systems, and power distribution for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 10–15+ years of engineering experience in building design and construction.
• 5+ years as primary engineering interface with multiple clients (PM or engineering lead).
• Current Professional Engineer license in the US.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader and design manager for multiple projects.
• Establish schedules and maintain design schedules.
• Coordinate cross-discipline activities and conduct site surveys.
• Prepare electrical layouts, one-line diagrams, lighting and fire alarm plans.
• Provide construction administration and interact with AHJ.
