Job summary

WSP is seeking an Electrical Department Head - Healthcare Building Systems for our Boston, MA office. You will provide leadership and high-level technical guidance on electrical design for healthcare, life science, industrial, and commercial projects.

The role covers from concept through construction with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and an engineering license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power distribution.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level technical assistance and guidance for design of electrical systems.
• Coordinate, review and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects.
• Lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects and oversee design and construction from inception to completion.
• Mentor & manage staff to support growth and development.
