Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Electrical Department Head for Healthcare Building Systems in Boston, MA. Lead design and construction of electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with codes and standards and coordinating with disciplines and clients.

The role requires a senior engineer with licensure, 10+ years of experience in power distribution for healthcare and related sectors, and a strong leadership background to mentor staff and manage complex projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years post-education experience delivering design for capital projects in power distribution for Healthcare, Life Science and commercial scale.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, design/build, and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level to complex projects to ensure data integrity and code compliance.
• Lead and manage design and construction of electrical infrastructure projects including rehabilitation and reconstruction.
• Mentor and manage staff to support growth and professional development.
• Maintain QA/QC and oversee subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with owners, sub-consultants, and clients to update layout plans and specifications.
