Job summary

Quest Global invites applications for an Electrical Design Engineer role in Houston, Texas. The candidate will lead design, development and detailing of electrical cabinets and cable harnesses, with NPI and PLM experience, SLDs and schematics proficiency, and independent BoM and component selection.

Required: 5–8 years in electrical design, leadership or supervisory experience, UL/NEC/IEC knowledge, and AutoCAD Electrical expertise. On-site role with health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on electrical design experience.
• Experience in leading or supervising technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, development and detailing of electrical enclosures and harnesses.
• Experience with NPI, design change management and PLM processes.
• Design electrical cabinets and cable harnesses, with SLDs and schematics in mind.
• Select components, prepare BoM, terminal strips, wire charts, and schedules independently.
• Ensure on-time delivery and high-quality adherence; lead cross-functional coordination.
• Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce pain points.
