Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical designer to lead the design and mentoring of engineering staff. You will work directly with clients, attend meetings, and ensure high-quality electrical documentation and coordinated design across projects nationwide.

Responsibilities include guiding design solutions, supporting bidding, design, permitting and construction, and providing value engineering. Candidates should have a PE license, a BS in engineering, and strong NEC/IBC/IECC

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Professional Engineer license and 10+ years of related experience.
Strong electrical design fundamentals including NEC, IBC, IECC and life safety codes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the best design solution by applying industry knowledge while considering customer needs and budgeting requirements.
Act as primary lead and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.
Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
Prepare detailed drawings/models for a project using the application of theoretical and practical design knowledge.
Provide design direction and support to all team members.
Communicate with clients, consultants, project personnel and inspecting authorities.
