Job summary

Design Hire is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support electrical design and documentation for industrial and facility-based projects in Houston. This role emphasizes hands-on AutoCAD work and developing practical electrical design packages for power and equipment systems.

You will produce drawings, MCCs, switchgear layouts, and power distribution schematics, coordinate with teams and vendors, and ensure accurate documentation through project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 4–8 years electrical design experience preferred.
• Experience with MCCs, switchgear, power distribution, and equipment-related systems.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, specifications, and technical documents.
