Quest Global invites applications for an Electrical Design Engineer role in Houston, Texas. The candidate will lead design, development and detailing of electrical cabinets and cable harnesses, with NPI and PLM experience, SLDs and schematics proficiency, and independent BoM and component selection.

Required: 5–8 years in electrical design, leadership or supervisory experience, UL/NEC/IEC knowledge, and AutoCAD Electrical expertise. On-site role with health and retirement benefits.

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on electrical design experience.
  • Experience in leading or supervising technical teams.

Mansioni

  • Lead conceptualization, design, development and detailing of electrical enclosures and harnesses.
  • Experience with NPI, design change management and PLM processes.
  • Design electrical cabinets and cable harnesses, with SLDs and schematics in mind.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, development & detailing.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Design change Management and PLM.
  • In depth knowledge on Electrical Cabinets & Cable harness design.
  • Capability to design the cabinets & harnesses independently. Understanding on the SLD’s & schematics
  • Must be able to work on Selection of components, BoM preparation, Terminal Strips, Wire Chart / Cable Schedule, etc independently.
  • Knowledge about HVAC system & Grounding of the panel / components
  • Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) and First Pass with high-Quality Adherence.
  • Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, cross-functional communication, and project scheduling capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand customer pain points, analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on Electrical design experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or supervisory capacity.
  • NPI projects knowledge specifically for E-houses, modular buildings, plant rooms, or heavy industrial enclosures.
  • Familiarity with international standards for industrial enclosures and electrical safety (e.g. UL/NEC, IEC, NEMA classifications) is added advantage.
  • Software: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Pay Range: $90,000 to $120,000/year

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements

This role is considered an on-site position located in Houston, Texas

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking
