Hatch Ltd. seeks a Senior Electrical Designer in Houston, TX, to join our Project Delivery Group and deliver electrical, automation and communications systems for heavy industrial projects. The role emphasizes CAD proficiency and knowledge of industry codes.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of electrical design experience, strong CAD skills (2D/3D) with MicroStation and AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of NEC, NFPA, NEMA and IEEE standards. On-site collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in electrical design for heavy industrial projects.
Proficient in 2D/3D CAD for electrical systems.
Knowledge of high, medium and low voltage equipment.
Familiar with NEC, NFPA, NEMA and IEEE codes.
Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

Work on electrical design for industrial projects in mining, energy, and infrastructure.
Produce and maintain drawings using 2D/3D CAD software.
Design electrical systems, motor control centres, cable schedules, single-line diagrams and grounding/earthing, lighting/services.
Coordinate electrical interfaces with other disciplines.
Supervise junior designers and participate in project decisions.
Assist in field surveys and on-site construction supervision when needed.
