Job summary

Tenet Healthcare’s Carondelet St. Marys Hospital in Tucson is seeking a qualified Echo technologist to perform cardiac diagnostic procedures, including Echocardiograms, Trans-Esophageal Echo and Stress Echos, ensuring high-quality tests and proper reporting.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound/echocardiography program, 1 year of experience, registry eligibility with BLS, and prefers RDMS or RDCS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of ultrasound or echocardiography.
• 1 year echocardiography experience.
• Registry eligible and BLS.
• RDMS or RDCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines requisition, obtains history, reviews patient chart to verify procedure requested.
• Ensures adequate clinical history is available to correlate with procedure.
• Proficient in the Radiology Information System.
• Maintains knowledge in physics, anatomy, techniques, medical terminology and aseptic technique.
• Supervises and teaches procedures to students and completes clinical evaluation forms.
• Other duties as assigned.
