Job summary

Early Learning Company is seeking a dedicated lead teacher for Huntey’s Clubhouse and Gro Childcare Academy. You will develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and maintain open communication with families about children’s progress.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with CDA or MiRegistry training, and CPR/First Aid certification. Opportunities for professional growth and a collaborative team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year (1,920 hours) of licensed child care experience OR CDA credential.
• MiRegistry-approved training including: 3 hours in Program Management, 6 hours in Teaching & Learning and related topics.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the center’s educational philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents/guardians about developmental progress and achievements.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure curriculum goals and classroom management.
• Uphold licensing standards and ensure classroom compliance with regulations.
• Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practices.
